Meadows Arts and Technology Elementary School (MATES) has many reasons to celebrate its 5th anniversary as the Conejo Valley’s first charter school. MATES is one of the 424 elementary schools to be awarded as a 2014 California Distinguished School by State Superintendent of Schools Tom Torlakson. In addition, MATES is one of only thirteen schools to be designated as an Exemplary Arts program.
