Thank you for participating in MCN FUNdraising! When you make a donation to the MCN, it directly benefits MATES.
Your personally meaningful donations fund programs like Art@Lunch, Movie Night, Family Dance, Winter Art Gallery, STEAM Night, and many more. Donations also provide for technology maintenance and needed upgrades and replacements.
Since MATES is an Arts and Technology themed charter school, gadgets such as computers projectors, and iPads are integral to the curriculum. MCN donations help to repair and replace technology as needed to continue keeping the students engaged in learning.
The wish list items include replacement teacher laptops, iPads for the Primary Grades, replacement of student laptops to be done in intervals, and replacement projectors.
In addition to replenishing this equipment fleet, we are always looking to advance in technology to bring MATES to the forefront.
Furthermore, we provide funds for classroom supplies, support the library, and make significant cash donations to MATES for campus improvements.

Fundraising Events
Direct Donation Drive (August 23 – October 2)
This is your way to give funds that directly benefits the events and programs that make MATES wonderful! Your donation is tax-deductible, and 100% of the proceeds stay at MATES. Direct donations qualify for most corporate matching programs (contact your employer). For questions, reach out to Fundraising@matesmcn.net.
Marketplace | Recurring (2nd Tuesday of every month)

Visit the MATES Marketplace, and purchase gently used MATES clothing at a discount.
Restaurant Nights | Recurring
A restaurant sponsors our school each month, and when you purchase lunch or dinner, a percentage of your bill is donated to MATES.
MATES Photo Days Fundraiser (October 12 & 18)
Great opportunity to get your professional photos made for holiday cards by photographers in our community.
Book Fair (October 19 – 23) & (May 24- 28)

MATES offers a Scholastic Book Fair in the fall and spring. This is how we raise funds for our library!
Fun Run (November 19 | Kick-off starts November 6)
Ready, set, go! Apex is coming to campus again this year to get the kids excited and meet with the Apex leaders for team building and core values lessons. It’s a 2-week program, and on the final day, the kids enjoy the run! Through pledges, a portion of the proceeds goes back to MATES!
Parents’ Night (TBD)
Have a fabulous evening of MATES friendship! The sponsor establishment donates a percentage of your bill to MATES.
Kids’ Night Out (TBD)
Take some time for yourself while the kids have a blast with their MATES friends! A large % of the proceeds go back to MATES.
Benefit Dinner and Auction (May 7)
Attend the MATES Benefit Dinner & Auction, and bid on your favorite items including gift cards, tickets to local shows, artwork, vacations, and more! There is a silent and live auction – a fun way to raise funds and have a stellar night out!
Participating in “FREE Ways to Fundraise” can earn dollars for our school. Before you shop anywhere, ask yourself, can our school be earning funds through this purchase?

The MCN prioritizes using the donated funds to offer our students, families, and staff both educational and community building programs throughout the year. These take a big commitment from volunteers and are funded by your donations to make them happen!
The MCN also works with the administration, committees, teachers, and MATES Board of Directors throughout the year to identify school needs and wish list items we can donate funds toward or purchase directly. We value their planning and the goals they set for MATES Programs and campus needs.
